Many blessings to you. So grateful for your articles. You always have a way of expressing yourself that brightens my day. Thank you, Gurdeep Pandher!!!
Wisdom is like water itβs refreshing texture and quenching attributes must be accepted by the thirsty, if not accepted it will drown us in itβs reality.
This is everythingβ¦I donβt know how else to say it. I have been in a place of deep grief and I feel as if I have finally come up for air. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing a bit of your deep sorrows with us! It helps us get to know you more and understand where you get your incredible wisdom from. Love you! β€οΈ
This is beautifully written and deeply moving. Thank you for sharing something so honest and hard-won. What strikes me most is how you've reframed joy not as the absence of pain, but as something that can coexist with it. That image of joy blooming "defiantly in the cracks between tears" is going to stay with me. It's such a compassionate way to think about our emotional lives, without the pressure to be "fixed" or "healed" before we're allowed to feel lightness again.
I embrace joy, I endure pain and sorrow. Joy is the tether that we need when we slip, fall or dive over the edge of the abyss, joy is the lifeline of light showing us the way back through the darkness. Just as we acknowledge joy and sorrow, the light and the darkness, we need to understand that feral rage against evil and injustice can be distilled into quiet, sanitized fuel for reasonable actions motivated by love and concern for our fellow man. Fight or flight is part of our DNA, the Ying and the Yang of our universe. The fight response is one of the ultimate acts of self-preservation or defense of others, and when tempered with sanity and altruistic actions, has lead to the continual survival of significant segments our species. Not giving in to the worst of us, but using it's fire for good. is a noble goal we all should strive for, and which will bring us peace and balance.
What a gift you are! Just the words we needed to see today. The last year has been a struggle with health issues compounding the mental ones. My husband cries freely, but always apologizes for it. Your words will help me to remind him now, that no apology is necessary, ever.
There is a quote I love, and would like to share;
"The cure for anything is salt-water; Tears, sweat, or the sea." Isak Dinesen
Your words center me, and until these words become my own, I will use this post as a sort of mantra to begin and end each day -- reading, re-reading until my emotional center is found in even the darkest, most turbulent of storms.
A beautiful and thought provoking read. Grateful for your light this morning. Thank you.
Thanks, Jennifer, for your lovely words ππ½
