True joy doesn’t live in what we own or accomplish—it lives in our ability to find light when everything feels dark.

I can’t agree more with this. While I was reading the article, I was feeling grateful to you for not waiting for that perfect moment or joy but instead choosing to look for the light in the middle of the mess and growing out of the darkness.

It’s so courageous and thoughtful of you to share the wisdom and insights with fellow humans.

It gives hope and inspiration to do something even when you don’t feel like it.

Thank you for this article Gurdeep.

Thank you, thank you for this. It appeared in my inbox today in a period of prolonged, terrible darkness for my family. Opening my eyes to the possibility of joy, to dare to look for and experience joy is a wonderful gift, a thread of hope.

"Stress builds its walls around us, brick by brick, until we’re living in a fortress that keeps out not just pain, but also wonder."

Indeed, wonder is everything and the best stress-buster there is. Take two minutes for a moment of awe, when you consider something so beautiful or so ordinary long enough to see the extraordinary in it and your eyes begin to fill with tears of awe. I guarantee you, though your stressors may still be there, your heart and mind will be so much more tuned to the wonder of life that you'll realize that both its insurmountable obstacles and its petty details are simply beside the point.

Amen! You’re singing to the choir! I copied your article and sent it to my 34 year old son because he’s also guilty of waiting for the perfect day before his joy can begin. Thank you, Gurdeep!
