Amidst Recent Global Issues, It Is Important To Have Compassion For The Hearts of Others, And For Your Own Heart
The world is currently grappling with complex issues such as wars, which have a global impact on mental health. It is crucial to show compassion as we navigate these historic challenges.
During these challenging times, the world is currently experiencing a multitude of complex issues that have far-reaching effects on both people and society. These issues encompass wars, divisions between different racial groups, increasing intolerance among different religious groups, emotional pain due to increasing distances among people with different opinions, race for resources, and other interconnected problems.
These challenges can evoke a variety of emotions within us, such as feelings of hurt, frustration, uncertainty, and even despair. Altogether, they are impacting mental health everywhere. These emotions are a natural and valid response to the difficulties we face. They remind us of the depth of our humanity and the need for compassion and understanding.
However, amidst these trying circumstances, it is crucial for us to maintain a sense of hope and humanity. Hope serves as a beacon of light, providing comfort and strength to mental and emotional well-being of ours and others. It plays a significant role in shaping our outlook on life and equips us with the strength and optimism to confront and overcome adversity.
Moreover, it is essential to recognize that we are not alone in grappling with these challenges. We are part of a global community that is collectively navigating through these uncertain times. By offering support and encouragement to one another, believing in humanity first, we can create a sense of unity and solidarity that fortifies our shared determination to overcome these divisions and hatred. Together, we can create a stronger and more resilient world.
In the face of challenges, joy and kindness uplift spirits, counter negativity, and bring much needed healing. It reminds us also to find joy in simple activities, cherish laughter and connection with nature, and appreciate the beauty in the world. It encourages us to seek out moments of little smiles and gratitude, even amidst the chaos and uncertainty. It also fosters love for other humans, especially for those who come from different cultural, ethnic, or religious groups than ours. Imagine if everyone started to love others, especially people with different beliefs, the world can become suddenly a peaceful place. I know that this is not that easy, it seems like a dream. However, if we do not do anything to counter global hate, then it is true that we ourselves are also contributing to the problem. I am not asking you to join a group or campaign, my ask is simple but very important, all I am asking you is to show love and care for others, especially for people who are different. At the end of the day, it is important to believe in humanity. Every single person is a fellow human, with their own struggles, hopes, and dreams.
Those who are feeling pressure from these global, or even personal issues, please remember that there is always daylight even after the darkest night. Life is a journey, with its ups and downs, twists and turns. Embrace its tough turns too, for they shape our character and resilience. Love your co-travelers in this trip of life because you have this opportunity now, as long as you breathe.
I am writing these words when winter is just starting, therefore, I must wish you a happy winter! Don't forget to take some time to enjoy the outdoors, even if it is cold outside. Compassion is very important – for your own heart and compassion for others’ hearts, both kinds of compassions at the same are crucial.
As always, I would like to attach a video I made around my cabin in the wilderness of the Yukon. I trust that the dance, music and peaceful nature will bring some happiness, healing, optimism, and a mutual care for humankind.
Together, we can navigate these challenging times and emerge stronger and more understanding for each other than ever before.
From the Yukon, I am sending lots of love. Happy holidays, Season’s greetings, Merry Christmas, and upcoming Happy New Year!
