Absolutely... Struggling for several decades (81years old now), I slowly started a daily gratitude journal, listening to my favourite joyful music of all genres, dancing around my tiny cold basement apartment in Vancouver, and starting to laugh out loud. Not caring if one seems 'silly' to others - very freeing. And I'm glad to have found you doing freezing cold Bhangra dancing . My arthritis doesn't allow me to do the hopping on one foot part - still, I move my arms around, my legs out and about, happier!!

Yes Gurdeep ones words do dictate ones mood.

Looking at the sky, clouds block out the sun however each day we wake up alive and healthy and look to the sky we recognize how fortunate we truly are. Like the clouds that block out the sun our negative moods bolstered by our unhealthy words can act to blind us to the wonders of our lives. I choose to concentrate on the natural beauty of nature, it’s reality opens my mind to the greater possibilities that we can reach if we just realize what is important, not money, fame, power or things. The true richness of life surrounds us each day, all of it created for us to enjoy and to bring joy to us.

Thank you so much for reminding me, in a truly personally challenging year, that each moment presents a choice. To choose to be stuck and held down by experiences or to allow them to flow through and over us like a river.

Nice one Gurdeep. I used to teach my students that any word can be a swear word depending on how you use it. Our language not only defines us but it also contributes to our growth while impacting the growth of others.

Thanks, Claire, for your words! I understand that there is so much going on in this world. It is good to be compassionate, but at the same time, we should treat joy as a balancing force that helps us be more effective in helping those who need our support.
