My Joy, Hope, and Positivity Song and Music Video
In an effort to instil hope, healing, love, unity, and smiles in the world, we wrote a song called "Joy, Hope, and Positivity", aimed at bringing these positive emotions in listeners.
I'm thrilled to announce that I've released my first-ever music video. This was a collaborative project with my friend and accomplished musician, Todd MacLean, from Canada's beautiful province of Prince Edward Island. We created this healing song and accompanying video during my cross-country tour in PEI, a journey that took me to many places across Canada, intended to spread joy, hope, and positivity from coast to coast to coast.
Why this song and music video?
That's a good question. When Todd and I met in PEI, during our discussions, we talked about the pain in the world and in people’s lives. We discussed that health issues, financial struggles, work difficulties, relationship problems, the mental health impact of COVID-19, inflation, ongoing international wars, social media negativity, polarization, intolerance among different religious groups, and differing opinions contribute to immense mental pressure. These factors often lead to feelings of sadness, loneliness, stress, anxiety, depression, uncertainty, anger, and various other challenges.
In an effort to instil hope, healing, love, unity, and smiles in the world, we wrote a song called "Joy, Hope, and Positivity", aimed at bringing these positive emotions to the ears of the song listeners and eyes of video viewers. The song emphasizes the importance of acknowledging feelings of sadness and loneliness while also striving to find joy, hope, love, and kindness.
The music video for the song, filmed in Vancouver and edited in the Yukon territory, connects Eastern, Western, and Northern Canada. It features various actors expressing feelings of sadness, loneliness, depression, or anger, with Todd and I encouraging them to seek joy.
