Thank you for sharing this excellent advice for dealing with a difficult situation, including a health-related crisis. I know from experience that each of the suggestions you made is valid. I appreciate these words, in particular, "...maintaining a positive perspective is crucial for preserving one's mental and emotional balance during this difficult time." This is so true.

Your words are truly healing, offering such comfort. I’m sure many people will appreciate this, as everyone is facing their own challenges.

Some of the books that have touched me the most are:

Many Lives, Many Masters by Dr. Brian Weiss

&

The Happiest Man on Earth by Eddie Jaku

I haven't read "When Breath Becomes Air" by Paul Kalanithi. I'll order it from the library & feel like you've suggested it from a virtual book club meeting. Best wishes to you as you prepare for another winter.

I like this reminder to get concrete and action oriented when life's winds come. Taking control of the things you can gives you legs to stand on and easiest practiced before you're 'in it' and spiraling the around drain of emotional catastrophizing. As more life has been lived I realize more fear energy is going towards the anticipation of the feeling vs. the feeling itself. Peace as we all learn more about how to ease our suffering and live in joy and light. I have found dancing and movement is one door into this hopeful space.

I always enjoy reading your articles. Thank you, Gurdeep! My comment comes late this week. For the last 15 or so days, as of 2 days ago, I been sick with Covid. The back of my throat was terribly sore, like shattered glass. That lasted about 3 days until the meds kicked in. For the rest of the time, I pretty much slept all day till early evening, every day. But I tested negative for Covid yesterday and even my mood is better today. It’s so important to not take our health for granted, even when sick, because it could always be worse. For those that are faced with a cancer diagnosis or some other serious illness, I really like what you have to say in this article, Gurdeep. I can’t wait to read your book when it’s complete. I want to know how life has shaped you and where do you get all your great wisdom from. Please keep writing your articles!
