I believe that positive change between people happens all around us, every day. Relationships happen across all types of differences- educational, religious, political, and of values. Communities grow, friendships, marriages and partnerships, and families happen all the time despite our differences. It requires that we be respectful of our differences, open to conversation, and able to listen without judgement and consider what we learn.
The United States has a long held belief that how we think and live is THE way things should be. This is not true between different areas of our own country, much less between our country and another. Respect should be a foundational value.
Gurdeep, my heartfelt thanks for sharing your spirit and the joy of your dancing. I always smile!
I love how you write and that your messages are heartfelt and authentically "you". ❤️ I so agree with many of your thoughts. I am grateful for your posts and videos... and I also fully appreciate how difficult it can be to adequately translate the complexity of our human/world/spirit "interconnectiveness" into words that everyone can understand and relate to.
The thing that makes me the most sad and frustrated are the voices that we don't get to hear because they live in countries that severely censor them through force and intimidation. Those are the voices I try to amplify and highlight the most as they are screaming to be heard, to be noticed, to be recognized as existing, as trying to live and thrive while under the boot of severe oppression from awful dictators and authoritarian regimes.
And within those places of darkness and desolation, many beautiful and brave people continue to survive, continue to emerge—despite being placed under great duress, tortured, and forced to endure immense abuse designed to break their spirits—their immaculate articulate writings, great creativity, inspiring artistry, beauty, friendship, and humanity manages to grow and thrive.
I was sobbing as I read your message. 🥹 There seems to be an abundance of people who are uncompassionate, are full of hate, anger, and an unwillingness to listen to rational thought. I wish we lived in a utopian society, but we live in this one. Keep up with the encouraging words, and the happy dancing!
Thank you for your article! I don’t know much about much. The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know. But it seems to me that there can’t be global “shared humanity” as long as we are not all equals. And what do you suggest we do in the case of Hitler? I’m not saying that’s happening again, but it could. Today’s current world events could lead us to this dark stain in history. It’s often said, “History repeats itself”. Too bad there was no one in power at the time willing to nip Adolf Hitler in the bud, one way or another, and save millions of Jews. I certainly do not want to see the Holocaust repeated ever again. Let’s learn from it instead. Playing nice doesn’t always work up against the big powerful bullies of the world. But I would like to hear your thoughts on this, Gurdeep. When do you say, “Enough of playing nice! It’s time to fight!”? Sincerely, I want to know. Because I for one am sick & tired of playing nice and continually get pushed around by the big powerful bullies in my life. Thank you!
Thank you so much for helping spread peace and joy. This is not the America imagined by my foremothers and forefathers (I am a second generation American of Eastern European immigrants) and I apologize to the world.
Yes. Together we can do much. Thank you explaining how we can be more in harmony despite our differences. The diverse we are, listening, finding common ground, the more robust will be our solutions.
My belief in an omnipresent God/ Holy Spirit has me believing that we are all One in Spirit and our purpose is to become Self Realized and realize God is within us and express God/ Divine Love towards whom or what is set before us...with the utmost of respect.
I believe that we are to use our potential and fulfill our purpose like a cell in the body, serving the good of the whole and in turn the whole sustains the individual. We are meant to work harmoniously and "deliver us from ego" (that part of us that wants to identify as if apart from Creator/ God/ Love/ Ataman).
Hello my dear Gurdeep (which of course is way too familiar coming from someone on the other side of our tiny speck in the universe), your dancing, your brilliant smile, your mixed musical metaphors, your fabulous sweaters are addictive.
The phrase ‘great galloping galoot’ often springs to mind when your loose-limbed, joyful dance is on my screen. Trust me, it’s an appellation of great fondness. My brother was once loose limbed and joyful in his body and he was our beloved great galloping galoot. My Mother’s phrase, it was always applied with mirth and affection.
Thank you for the simple joy you bring, along with your thoughtful admonitions to assert kindness and communal spirit because … why not! All power to your spirit 🙏
Unfortunately, your dream ---beautiful as it is --of one global family cannot happen when there is such a deep a disparity among educational levels, religious, political beliefs and values. Opportunity to poor nations has been offered repeatedly, and the third world has yet to accept self-determination and individual effort, pragmatism, and basic concepts like sanitation. If everyone was born with ambition, innovation, and creativity perhaps the Third World countries could make the leap into the 21st Century. I do not see that happening. 360 millions Americans cannot support billions of people in the lifestyle they desire. They must create their own successful economies. To do this, they must leave many traditional cultural patterns behind or they are doomed to poverty. For example, women wearing sacks when they go outside is not conducive to a sense of individuality that is a prerequisite for dynamism. Look at Gaza. It is fighting 15th Century battles instead of developing the assets it has for the good of its people. Taking hostages, using human shields. That's insanity. Israel is not going away. Accept it, and move on. But, they can't.
Unfortunately underdeveloped countries are usually that way because of corruption within its own government or ruling class which debase people in order to gather all the wealth. In concert with these entities governments like the USA exploit this corruption for their own quest for power and riches using other countries to enrich themselves. All people would welcome, for example sanitation and the ability to live in a home that has running water and air conditioning however it’s not by their choice to live in filth and unsatisfactory housing. This is a human construct that enables corruption to prosper by keeping people uneducated and unable to help themselves so I disagree with your assertions that people in underdeveloped countries choose to live in poverty and ignorance. Wars are another symptom of the ruling class trying to control people so that they can enrich themselves, it’s very rare that you would witness the wagers of war taking part in the carnage, they usually sit behind gold encrusted walls sending the poor and uneducated to their deaths. The only people getting rich are the arms dealers and the the wagers of war. We are all part of the human race seeking the same, health, safety, a nice place to live in, food, a good job, happiness and a future for our children free from violence and corruption. There is no difference only the bias that exists amongst the people wanting not to share and needing to blame others for their own insecurities and failures.
"All people would welcome, for example sanitation and the ability to live in a home that has running water and air conditioning however it’s not by their choice to live in filth and unsatisfactory housing."
ALL people? Then how come the streets of India are knee deep in garbage? The US has spent trillions of dollars since the 1960's trying to haul the 3rd world into modernity. Maybe you don't remember the Peace Corps, but thousand of volunteers went to Africa and So,. America to educate people to farm, about sanitation, and there are still people eating the brains of their dead loved ones.
I've been hearing the same ol' arguments about the downtrodden for over 65 years! Cultural differences and religious beliefs & customs persist that have nothing to do with colonialism or its legacy It doesn't take a genius to know you're better off picking up after yourself, gathering trash,..and if you say the people aren't smart enough to pick up their trash, then you're admitting they have low IQs.
Good low IQ example: South Africa. The Boers are excellent farmers and had been feeding So.Africa for over 100 years. But the ANC wanted white people gone. So they confiscated farms, murdered a bunch of white farmers, redistributed the land to blacks, and now the country is starving. Did the blacks not learn anything in 100 years?
Yeah, people are blamed, mostly America, for every pimple on the world's ass when 3rd Worlders have had access to information and nothing has changed. Of course they would "welcome" stuff as long as they don't have to work for it. Conclusion? No work ethic. They're not 'unable'; the men are lazy and would rather sell narcotics and join gangs. They're the ones who blame others for their own insecurities and failures.
By the way, how many people have you helped lately? Why don't you go among the poor and ignorant and "share" your knowledge with them? Help them build houses and teach them sanitation?
Insult does not substitute for facts proving me wrong. Your illogic and excuses only marks you as a Marxist apologist for the inability to demonstrate any command of historical fact.
Wonderful message, beautiful dancing. The earth hears you and smiles.
Thank you, Sally!

I learned long time ago not to try to convince a person of a fact that doesn’t have the mental capacity to understand, your ignorance precedes you.
Insult does not substitute for facts proving me wrong. Your illogic and excuses only marks you as a Marxist apologist for the inability to demonstrate any command of historical fact.
Good afternoon, Mr. Pandher, thank you for the uplifting message and dancing to keep us all mindful and joyful.
