Delightful article and inspiring dance I remember when you originally posted with the outdoor thermometer showing winters’ temperature! Being Canadian 🇨🇦 born in North Vancouver BC I flourish in the 🥶 winter. I live here in Virginia now and miss my winters of my life. I am old in age and my body cannot do Bhangra but I can and do move my arms around when I watch you dance by the lake and in the snow. You are joyous🙏

Thanks, Cathy, for your lovely comment! I'm touched that my winter dance videos bring you joy and inspire you to move along. While Virginia may not have the same winter intensity as North Vancouver, I love that you've maintained your connection to the season through modified movements - that's the perfect way to keep your inner light shining through all seasons!

Oh that video is everything!! I’m going to share it with my kids and invite them to dance with me in the cold one day 🤩

Thank you for this lovely reminder of how to care for ourselves and community during the dark cold days of winter (or the dark cold days of life). This post is so full of joy and hope. You are a gift, friend. 🙏✨

Thanks Gurdeep. You make winter in Canada actually look enjoyable. That is quite an accomplishment for this southerner. Keep smiling and dancing!

I love this - thank you for continuing to share light and love - that we can do all year long - I do love the winter, even with the longer darker nights, where there is snow and the moon its so beautiful.

I spent my teaching career in Timmins, Ontario; I know cold! Being active is essential to keeping your mood from slipping into the doldrums. Gurdeep shows us techniques that can become a positive habit. We can warm the exterior coldness by being kindhearted people. We can be the fire for each other.

I really liked the focus on movement and the encouragement to get out of the house during the winter season, it’s such a great way to combat the gloominess that can come with staying indoors. The suggestion to support one another as a community was incredibly touching as well. I absolutely loved the video!

Thank you for your article, Gurdeep! I was born, raised, and live in Winnipeg, Manitoba. So I understand cold winters but not northern cold winters. Anything colder than -30C, it gets in my bones and I feel sick I’m so very cold, especially my inner core. So my hat is off to all of you Northerners! Fantastic video by the way! I also look forward to your next article, as always.
