We cannot lengthen the ribbon of time, but we can embellish it with jewels of joy, transforming each breath into a masterpiece of living, where mundane minutes bloom into gardens of great moments.
This is one of your best pieces of prose yet. So poetic and beautifully written. Such a salient and accurate reminder to not take life for granted and see the silver lining in its moments, both joyous and challenging.
Thank you for writing this Gurdeep, my mum died on Friday and I spent the day with my son and brothers reflecting on her life and remembering her funny little habits ❤️
This was exactly what I needed to hear today. Tho honestly, I could almost always say that to you. I’m packing up my home of 20 years and moving solo to a new city in a new state. I just turned 70! I’m grateful for every day. I live a good life. Grace is my blanket. Still, the sadness bubbles up. I’m able to own it, feel it and let it go. Your joy is contagious and I am SO happy to have found you. Thank you doesn’t begin to express my gratitude. ♥️
Thank you for your article! However, I believe time is relative. I don’t believe we all get 24 hours per day. Some days go by quick. Some days go by very slow. Some days are shorter than 24 hours. And other days are the full 24 hours. If you take time literally then yes, we each get 24 hours per day. But I noticed as I’m getting older (58) time goes by much more quickly. So, I don’t believe time is an even 24 hours for all of us, especially for ones that are chronically sick. But I do believe in making most with the time you have each day and no amount of time is guaranteed. Thanks!
Thank you! Beautifully written for all and good reminder for the day after my birthday!
Happy birthday, Nancy!
My Dad taught me to wake up each day and make it the best you can. He's been gone nine years but that lesson stays with me. It's his legacy!
Very beautifully written! I loved all the metaphors that you’ve used. You made my morning beautiful Dear Friend. Thank you very much! 🙏🏽
Thank you, dear friend!
Beautiful as always.
