We aim for perfection, but when it doesn't happen, we feel disappointed, disheartened, angry, hurt our own heart, and lose our joy. So, what can we do?
Thank you Gurdeep for Sharing on your “imperfect” life style. I tend to compare with others and that indeed makes me sad. Your message helps me keep in mind that it might even be easier to find joy in daily life when you have less material because that forces you to focus on small things that can bring you joy. Taking time to look at what is around us, all small things like the sound of birds, or to feel the gentle (or harsh) wind on our face, can quickly bring a feeling of being alive and joy. Thank you again for your messages. They are very inspiring and important for me and I am convinced all your followers:)
I am very guilty of putting myself down. I compare myself to others saying "I'm not as educated, smart, or talented as others". I feel that I'm stupid and dumb. I don't have any talent. When I am with people who are highly educated I slink off to a corner. So introvert.
Thank you Sir Gurdeep , W are not as cold here as you it's warm compared to you 38 degrees at 5:00 A.M. I will remember this cold in the summer when our temperature will reach 120 degrees in the shade and our pave street will make the temperature hotter. Until the age of 8 I lived in a lttle cabin like your with my grandparents that was the happiest time of my life . the memory of the love that my grandparents give me has been my warm blanket when I am cold and a shade tree when I am hot may the Lord Almighty Creator of the Universe continue to Bless you and keep you safe.
Indeed, Mr.P., I believe it is in our nature to grow, to better ourselves, to be our best selves, trying for perfection yet knowing we can never achieve it. We must also tolerate our flaws and inconsistencies. We can forgive ourselves for being imperfect, just as we forgive others for their inadequacies. I love your messages of tolerance, delivered with dancing feet and bright grin. You bring a timeless & universal message; in solidarity we can approach perfection.
Thanks for your valuable thoughts, Mr. T. Trying to do better and at the same time tolerating our flaws and inconsistencies and being okay with it is a great way to find balance and joy.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom and your "joie de vi·vre ." Who's to judge what is perfect, in any case? I think this moment is perfect, and so it is.
Sometimes I sponge bath when I can’t take a shower or bath. Is sponge bathing an option for you so you don’t have to leave your cabin when it’s super cold outside? Or is this a silly question and I should just assume, yes, you do sponge bath sometimes?
I’m a bit of a perfectionist and am afraid I’ll not experience satisfaction in my life time until I’m able to realize everything in life, including me, is imperfect. I also have severe chronic depression and severe chronic fatigue for different reasons than perfectionist attitude but it certainly doesn’t help my illnesses either. I get some joy by reading your articles and watching your videos. And spending time with my 2 year old granddaughter.
Thank you for your kind feedback, and for sharing the challenges. I am honoured that you enjoy reading my articles and watching my videos. It's also wonderful that you get to spend time with your 2-year-old granddaughter.

I liked your words "Who's to judge what is perfect" very much. What is perfect for one person can be totally opposite for the other.
